Piper Companies is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer-Secret for an onsite role in Fort Meade, MD. You will lead complex network engagements, plan and design Cisco architectures, and mentor engineers to deliver secure, scalable solutions for public sector clients.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance and extensive Cisco expertise across data center, security, and automation, with a strong focus on operational excellence and customer success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, EE or related field with 8+ years of enterprise networking experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to work onsite five days weekly at Fort Meade, MD.
• Advanced Cisco expertise: Routing & Switching, Data Center, SD-WAN; CCIE Routing & Switching preferred.
• Experience designing and implementing complex enterprise network architectures; trusted advisor to customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer delivery engagements and provide senior-level escalation support for large-scale, complex networking environments.
• Consult with customers, partners, and Cisco stakeholders to plan, design, implement, integrate, optimize, and support Cisco technologies and services.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor across routing, switching, data center, security, automation, and cloud-integrated technologies.
• Lead analysis, troubleshooting, simulation, validation, and resolution of highly complex network challenges; collaborate with engineering teams to resolve incidents.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, Cisco leadership, engineering, and partners; communicate complex concepts to executive audiences.
• Create and disseminate technical documentation, knowledge transfer materials, and best practices; mentor engineers.
• Independently lead projects and cross-functional programs with broad impact; identify risks and drive improvements.
