Job summary

Seneca Resources is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support complex deployments in enterprise and data center environments. This hands-on role requires strong Cisco expertise, experience with network refresh projects, and a background in heavily regulated industries such as banking.

You will translate client requirements into scalable network designs, staging and configuring equipment, testing solutions, and coordinating end-to-end deployments across geographically distributed environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of network engineering in tech services or enterprise environments.
• Proven Cisco networking experience, including data center deployments.
• CCNA certification required; CCNP strongly preferred.
• Banking/financial services or highly regulated environments experience.
• Hands-on in data center networking with Cisco Nexus and ACI.
• Experience with network refresh projects and migrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead post-sales network engineering, requirements gathering, design, planning, staging, configuration and production deployment.
• Design and implement complex enterprise/data center networks per client goals and standards.
• Support refresh and modernization projects including hardware replacement, migration and test.
• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and data center infrastructure.
• Work with data center switching: Cisco Nexus, Spine-Leaf, and Cisco ACI.
• Coordinate remotely with Smart Hands, PMs, carriers, vendors, and providers.
• Develop and maintain network diagrams, configurations, implementation plans, change records, and deployment docs.
• Translate client requirements into end-to-end network designs and implementation plans.
• Evaluate solutions and propose changes to improve performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Provide guidance on network architecture, service delivery, and integration with enterprise apps.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and perform root cause analyses.
