Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Rolling Meadows, IL seeks a Network Communications professional to design and maintain LAN/WAN networks, manage routing, and lead firewall and security appliance deployments. The role requires active Secret clearance and on-site work.

You will coordinate with program managers, support monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Splunk), and drive security compliance through STIGs and patching. A strong background in Cisco ISE integrations and 802.1x is needed.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Government Secret level security clearance (minimum) or enrolled in CEP.
• Experience designing and maintaining LAN/WAN networks, and managing routing on large LAN environments.
• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama; device groups, templates, and policies.
• Experience with DISA STIGs and patching for network devices.
• CCNA or Security+ CE (or equivalent) certification; required/maintained.
• Knowledge of Cisco ISE integrations, 802.1x, MAB and posture.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operations of LAN/WAN/VPNs and encryption technologies.
• Plan, design, configure, and implement LAN/WAN solutions meeting mission requirements.
• Lead configuration, testing, and rollout of routing/switching platforms and security appliances.
• Provide second-level support and resolve incidents with internal customers.
• Coordinate third-party maintenance for network equipment; work with ServiceNow/JIRA.
• On-site, full-time work at Rolling Meadows, IL campus; after-hours support as needed.
