Job summary

Join trak group in Hamilton, Ohio, as a Senior Network Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise network environments within a 24x7x365 managed services operation.

You will own the reliability, performance, and security of LAN, WLAN, and WAN environments, serving as a senior escalation point for complex networking issues and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Network Engineering or Network Administration experience in enterprise or managed services.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, ARP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS and related networking protocols.
• Experience with MPLS and VPN technologies (remote-access and site-to-site).
• Experience with multi-vendor environments (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Arista, Brocade, Ubiquiti).
• Knowledge of wireless networking technologies and firewalls; security concepts.
• Willingness to participate in rotating 24x7 on-call schedule and travel locally (<10%).

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, deploy, document, and support secure enterprise LAN, WLAN, and WAN solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex network connectivity, performance, and availability issues.
• Manage routers, switches, wireless networks, firewalls, VPNs, and other network infrastructure.
• Support MPLS, VPN, SD-WAN, wireless, firewall, and network security technologies.
• Maintain accurate network documentation, asset inventories, and CMDB information.
• Participate in a rotating 24x7 after-hours on-call schedule.
