Black Canyon Consulting is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to support the NCBI. This full-time position is located in Bethesda, MD with some remote options.

The ideal candidate will design and deploy high-performance networks, leveraging technology including Arista EOS and F5 BIG-IP. You will lead and innovate network architecture, automate processes, and contribute to medical breakthroughs.

With an attractive salary range of $110,000 - $160,000, this role offers a chance to work with cutting-edge technology in a professional environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering.
• A CCIE or similar advanced networking certification is a plus.
• Strong experience with Arista EOS/CloudVision and F5 BIG-IP.
• Proficiency in Python scripting and network automation.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-performance network architectures using Spine-and-Leaf.
• Leverage deep knowledge of Arista's EOS and CloudVision.
• Configure and maintain F5 BIG-IP platforms.
• Use Python to automate network management.
• Act as a mentor and subject matter expert.
• Support the evolution of legacy networks for cloud environments.
• Implement effective load balancing strategies.
• Manage AAA frameworks for network access control.
• Oversee network device patching and lifecycle management.
• Monitor network traffic and provide metrics for development.
