Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an onsite Network Engineer in Washington, DC to design, integrate, and maintain secure, high-performing network infrastructure across multiple locations. You will ensure reliable connectivity, scalability, and alignment with organizational standards.

Responsibilities include evaluating environments, implementing LAN/WAN and SD-WAN solutions, and strengthening security with firewalls and VPNs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience managing enterprise networks in multi-site environments.
• Experience with LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, and VPN solutions.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and obtain US government background clearance.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate existing network environments across multiple sites and develop plans to standardize enterprise architecture.
• Design, optimize, and support LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, and VPN solutions for reliable performance.
• Strengthen network security by coordinating firewall, intrusion prevention, and access control initiatives.
• Lead network monitoring, incident response, and root-cause analysis with documentation and diagrams.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and sysadmin teams for scalable network growth.
