Socket.dev is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure. The role involves independent day-to-day operations with collaboration on complex projects and a minimum of 7 years' networking experience across enterprise routing, switching, security, and network operations.

Qualifications

• Experience configuring and maintaining enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, and data center networks.
• Experience deploying and troubleshooting Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet devices.
• Experience with routing protocols OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP.
• Experience with VLANs, STP, EtherChannel/LACP, and trunking.
• Experience with IPsec/SSL VPNs.
• Experience with firewall/NAT configuration.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure.
• Coordinate with engineering, logistics, financial, and program management to define system specs.
• Prepare, deliver, and submit technical papers and studies.
• Develop and maintain network documentation and system specifications.
• Interface with customers from quotation to final design and tests.
• Conduct site visits, investigations, and propose solutions.
• Support development of technical proposals.
