Job summary

itD Tech is looking for a Senior Network Engineer in San Francisco to design and support network infrastructure. You will work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with a diverse team.

The role requires extensive experience in networking and security, particularly in retail environments. You will also engage in troubleshooting, automation, and cloud services integration.

Effective communication and a proactive approach are essential for this role, along with expertise in network security systems and automation tools.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of overall network technology experience.
• 3+ years of experience with networking and security technologies in a retail environment.
• 3+ years’ experience in Layer 7 Firewalls (Fortinet, PAN).
• 2+ years hands-on experience with cloud networking (Azure preferred).
• Must have Aruba wireless experience.
• Automation and GenAI experience a big plus.
• Practical experience interacting with enterprise Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Self-starter with a proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support LAN, WAN, and WLAN infrastructure.
• Engineer and troubleshoot network security systems.
• Provide end-to-end technical support from endpoints to cloud data centers.
• Lead triage for high-severity incidents including root cause analysis.
• Use Automation/Scripting for troubleshooting and administration.
