Marotta Controls, Inc. in Parsippany, NJ is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to guide our IT network of LAN/WAN, security, and cloud connectivity.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years of experience, CCNP certification, and hands-on expertise with Palo Alto firewalls, AWS networking, Cisco Meraki, and Cisco Nexus platforms. You will design, implement, and maintain complex networks, monitor performance, mentor staff, and document architectures.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years network engineering experience.
• CCNP certification required.
• Extensive experience configuring Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls.
• Proficiency in AWS networking (VPC, Route 53, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, ELB).
• In-depth knowledge of Cisco Meraki and Cisco Nexus platforms.
• Expertise in network security best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and RCA.
• Proficiency with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Wireshark, Nagios).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot complex network infrastructure including LAN/WAN, wireless, Meraki, and Nexus environments.
• Administer Palo Alto firewalls, including configuration and updates.
• Manage AWS networking (VPCs, load balancers, Direct Connect).
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement network technologies and solutions.
• Monitor network performance, conduct security audits, optimize performance.
• Diagnose and resolve complex network issues; escalate to Cisco TAC when needed.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior IT staff.
• Document network architecture, configurations, procedures, and processes.
