Job summary

Pacer Group in Minnesota is seeking a senior Enterprise Network Engineer to architect, deploy, and optimize SD-WAN and wired/wireless infrastructure. You will work with vendors and internal teams to scale networks and ensure governance.

This contract role requires 10+ years of Cisco-focused enterprise networking, 5+ years in SD-WAN, and strong cross-functional collaboration in a hybrid onsite setting (Onsite 3 days a week).

• Collaborate with architects to support cohesive design strategies and change requests.
• Provide Tier 3 support and monitor KPIs; implement security controls as defined by the security team.

SKILLS REQUIRED

Primary (Must-Have):

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering, with a focus on Cisco technologies
• 5+ years of experience in SD-WAN Solutions

Secondary (Good to Have):

• 5+ years of experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing vendor relationships
• Experience with network automation, NetDevOps practices, and enterprise wireless solutions

POSITION OVERVIEW

Operating within the Enterprise Network Engineering department and reporting to engineering leadership, this role provides senior-level technical expertise to architect, deploy, and optimize complex SD-WAN and wired/wireless infrastructure. The incumbent will resolve critical business problems related to network scalability, transport independence, performance telemetry, and cross-functional technology governance to support enterprise growth.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, implement, and optimize high-performance SD-WAN hub-and-spoke architectures, ensuring scalability, reliability, and transport independence across diverse environments.
• Architect, deploy, and refine enterprise-grade wired and wireless network solutions in partnership with vendors, stakeholders, and internal engineering teams.
• Provide senior-level technical execution and governance for physical and logical network initiatives, aligning implementations with technology roadmaps and enterprise standards.
• Work closely with network, solution, and enterprise architects to support cohesive design strategies, participate in design reviews, and prepare technical change requests.
• Provide Tier 3 support, monitor key performance indicators using analytics tools, and implement network security controls defined by the DAA security team.
