MillerKnoll is seeking a Senior Network Engineer (Finance) to lead network design, implementation, and governance across enterprise IT. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver multi-tier solutions aligned with business goals and security standards.

The role emphasizes strategic leadership, advanced networking skills, and mentoring of global IT talent, with occasional travel to support global initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in CS/IS or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of professional IT experience and 3 years on project teams.
  • Global project experience and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Act as visionary cross-functional leader bridging IT and business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement of IT processes.
  • Evaluate new technologies and IT initiatives for strategic fit.
  • Drive and execute solutions for complex network problems and governance.
  • Evaluate existing network systems and recommend improvements.
  • Develop and maintain network documentation and standards.
  • Oversee small-to-medium project budgets and resource allocation.
  • Serve as technical SME, translating complex output for all levels.
  • Mentor global talent and share advanced IT knowledge.
  • Support after-hours activities, maintenance windows, and on-call duties.

Technical Execution & Governance
  • Drive and execute solutions for the organization's technical problems.

  • Drive adoption and application of IT best practices and standards.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for network systems.
  • Oversee small-to-medium project budgets, maintaining strict accountability for expenses and resource allocation.
Mentorship & Communication
  • Serve as a technical SME, seamlessly translating and presenting complex technical output to all levels of the business.
  • Assist with developing global talent by actively teaching advanced IT knowledge and skills.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as requested to drive business success.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or relevant academic discipline is preferred.
  • 5+ years of professional IT experience.
  • 3 years of participation on project teams.
  • Global project experience.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Cisco CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) Certification preferred.
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certification preferred.
  • Fortinet Certification preferred.
Skills and Abilities
  • Advanced knowledge of Ethernet, wide area networking, routing, TCP/IP, voice and wireless communications.
  • Network experience in global enterprise environments
  • Understanding of DNS & Domain Registration.
  • Understanding of current core business practices and how IT solutions support them.
  • Advanced knowledge of IT functional area strategies and how they are integrated.
  • Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with limited assistance.
Additional Skills and Abilities
  • Experience with network switches, routers & wireless; Cisco/Meraki preferred.
  • Working experience with wireless (802.11x) communications; Cisco/Meraki preferred.
  • Experience with wireless authentication (802.1x) products; Cisco ISE preferred.
  • Experience with remote access products; FortiClient preferred.
  • Experience with network security/firewall products; FortiGate preferred.
  • Experience with SDWAN & VPN; FortiGate SDWAN and ADVPN preferred.
  • Experience with load balancing products; FortiADC preferred.Experience with DNS products; Infoblox preferred.
  • Experience with network management software and network tuning tools, i.e., Wireshark.
  • Able to flex work schedules as needed to support after-hours activities, maintenance windows, incidents, and on-call responsibilities.
  • Ability to travel 5%-10% of time or as needed to achieve business objectives.
