Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior networking architect to lead the architecture, deployment, and optimization of high‑performance networking for AI factories, data centers, and enterprises. You will design, architect, and deploy data center networks with NVIDIA Spectrum switches and InfiniBand fabric architectures, delivering ultra‑low latency and high throughput.

Provide technical leadership during deployments, build diagrams and playbooks, and collaborate across hardware, software, and field

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on data center network engineering and design experience.
• Cisco CCNP/CCIE or equivalent advanced vendor certifications.
• Hands-on with NVIDIA Spectrum switches, InfiniBand, and high-speed Ethernet fabrics.
• Knowledge of RoCEv2, BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, EVPN and data center fabrics.
• Lab environments and customer Proof of Concept setups.
• Scripting/automation with Python and Ansible is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, deployment, and optimization of high-performance networking for AI factories and data centers.

• Provide technical leadership during deployments, escalations, and customer engagements.
• Develop network diagrams, deployment guides, configuration templates, and troubleshooting playbooks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex networking issues.
• Test, validate, and tune routing, switching, and fabric topologies.
• Travel to customer sites and partner locations as needed.

Job description

• Lead the architecture, deployment, and optimization of high-performance networking solutions for AI factories, data centers, and enterprise environments
• Design, architect, and deploy data center networking solutions using NVIDIA Spectrum Ethernet switches and InfiniBand fabric architectures
• Lead network integration and optimization for AI factory reference architectures, supporting ultra-low latency, high throughput, and lossless transport for large-scale GPU clusters
• Manage, maintain, and support internal labs and customer-facing Proof of Concept environments
• Perform testing, validation, interoperability testing, and performance tuning of routing, switching, and fabric topologies
• Collaborate with systems architects, hardware engineering, software/DevOps teams, and Field Application Engineers to troubleshoot advanced networking issues
• Develop engineering documentation including network diagrams, deployment guides, configuration templates, and troubleshooting playbooks
• Provide technical leadership during customer deployments, integrations, and escalations
• Stay current with networking standards, routing protocols, and high-performance computing interconnect technologies
• Travel up to 25% to customer sites, partner locations, and deployment facilities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical discipline required
• Master’s degree preferred
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise or data center network engineering, architecture, and design
• Professional-level industry certifications such as Cisco CCNP or CCIE, or equivalent advanced vendor certifications in networking/fabric design
• Deep hands-on configuration and troubleshooting experience with NVIDIA Spectrum switches, InfiniBand architecture, and high-speed Ethernet fabrics
• Working knowledge of AI factory reference architectures, RoCEv2, BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, EVPN, and data center fabric designs
• Hands-on experience building, supporting, and running complex lab environments and customer Proof of Concept setups
• Strong scripting and automation skills, such as Python and Ansible, are a strong plus
• Excellent cross-functional communication and customer-facing skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to travel up to 25% for customer sites, POC deployments, and technical syncs
