Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join a large DoD program in San Diego, CA. The role involves routine testing and analysis of network facilities, installing and supporting LAN/WAN systems, monitoring availability, and troubleshooting performance across network segments.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree or significant equivalent experience, possess Cisco equipment expertise, and be able to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience or 10 years without a degree.
• Experience with Cisco networking equipment such as routers and switches.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance.
• IPv6 protocol experience required along with level 3 network protocols.

Essential Duties of the Senior Network Engineer:

• Provides routine testing and analysis of network facilities
• Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system.
• Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and may perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
• Troubleshoot network systems and performance as necessary

Qualifications of the Senior Network Engineer:

• Bachelors degree and 6 years of experience, Associates degree and 8 years of experience, or 10 years of experience without a degree
• Experience with Cisco networking equipment such as routers and switches.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance.
• Experience with IPv6 protocol is required along with level 3 network protocols

Compensation for the Senior Network Engineer:

• $115,000 - $165,000 (based on experience)
