We currently have an exciting opportunity in our Information Technology department. This ONSITE position specifically is located in Norfolk, Virginia. We are looking for a Senior Networking Engineer. The hours are from 7am to 4pm, M-F. MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
$99,975 - $133,300
This pay range is a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. It takes into account the wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, and education. The Senior Network Engineer will diagnose, triage, resolve and document network-related support calls and questions from users or customers. They evaluate requests for new services, propose appropriate solutions and perform testing and turn-up of these services. They also ensure accuracy of service and network documentation, maintain network integrity and monitor network alarms, troubleshoot network issues, aid in restoration of network services and assist in root cause analysis events.
This position requires understanding and following standard procedures, escalating situations falling outside of these procedures to management. The Senior Network Engineer should have well-developed decision making, analytical and problem-solving skills, displaying the ability to provide solutions where they may not currently exist. They must possess excellent oral/written communication skills, be a self-starter, results-oriented with strong organizational ability and a high level of integrity. The Senior Network Engineer must be able to work independently, but also be a solid team player and contributor. Errors in work or actions can affect company-wide networks.

The worker is required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as: operating equipment where the seeing job is at or within arm’s reach or performing mechanical or skilled trades tasks of a non-repetitive nature such as ones by technicians, service people, etc.
Reports to Network Manager. Collaborates with members of the IT Infrastructure team. Mentors and helps to provide direction for Network Engineers
Responsible for designing and implementing secure network structures and satisfy the working requirements of the IT department. Considered to be a networking expert by his peers.
