Job summary

T & A Supply Company, Inc. in Kent, WA is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to implement, maintain, and support enterprise network and infrastructure systems, including routing, switching, wireless, and SD-WAN across on‑premises and cloud environments.

You will monitor performance, apply security controls, lead projects, mentor junior engineers, and produce documentation; telecommuting up to 2 days per week, with on-site duties at the Kent office otherwise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/Info Security or related field with 3 years of professional network infrastructure experience.
• Experience monitoring network performance, analyzing logs and metrics, and improving reliability.
• Experience with virtualization and cloud platforms (VMware, AWS, Azure) and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform).

Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain, and support enterprise network and infrastructure systems for scalability and reliability.
• Deploy and administer hybrid on-premise and cloud networks incl. SD-WAN, DNS, DHCP, and directory services.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers; develop documentation.

OPEN POSITION

Senior Network Engineer (T & A Supply Company, Inc. (Kent, WA))

Implement, maintain, and support enterprise network and infrastructure systems to ensure scalability, performance, and reliability. Deploy and administer enterprise network environments, including routing, switching, wireless, and SD-WAN environments. Implement and support hybrid infrastructure across on-premises and cloud platforms. Monitor system and network performance, analyze issues, and implement improvements to optimize availability and efficiency. Ensure security and compliance of systems and data through application of access controls, monitoring solutions, and industry standards. Administer network and infrastructure services, including DNS, DHCP, directory services, and virtualization environments. Support and execute infrastructure projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and integrations. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to maintain stable and reliable operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, development, and business stakeholders, to deliver infrastructure solutions aligned with organizational needs. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across teams. Develop and maintain technical documentation, processes, and procedures to support system operations and continuous improvement. Telecommuting may be permitted up to 2 days per week. When not telecommuting, must report to T & A Supply Company, Inc. at 6807 S 216 th Street, Kent, Washington 98032. Salary: $145,000 - $185,000 per year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, or a related field, plus 3 years of professional experience as a Network Analyst, Network Engineer, or any occupation, job title, position designing, deploying, and managing scalable infrastructure solutions.

MUST ALSO HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING

3 years of professional experience monitoring system and network performance, analyzing logs and metrics, identifying issues, and implementing reliability and performance improvements; 3 years of professional experience administering and troubleshooting Linux and Windows operating systems, including system configuration, patching, and security management; 3 years of professional experience providing technical guidance to engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including IT, development, and business stakeholders, to deliver infrastructure and security solutions; 3 years of professional experience utilizing virtualization and cloud platforms, including VMware, AWS, and Azure, to deploy, manage, and optimize hybrid cloud environments; 3 years of professional experience leading infrastructure projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and integrations across network, security, and cloud environments; 3 years of professional experience developing and implementing automation and configuration management solutions using tools including Ansible and Terraform; 3 years of professional experience applying networking and storage concepts, including system connectivity, routing, switching, performance optimization, and data management across distributed environments; and 3 years of professional experience implementing and managing enterprise security solutions, including SIEM, endpoint protection, identity security, and Zero Trust architectures.
