Job description

ABOUT THE DOYLE GROUP

The Doyle Group is a proven partner for Placement and Consulting services, headquartered in Denver, CO. Our core mission is to forge genuine partnerships with our clients who seek strategic talent solutions and to assist highly skilled candidates looking for their next career opportunity. With over 30 years of industry experience, our consultative approach allows us to provide a higher level of guidance and insight, empowering our clients to secure top IT talent that fits seamlessly into our team and culture. We look forward to collaborating to help you achieve your career goals.POSITION SUMMARY

Our client, a global, publicly traded manufacturer of precision power solutions for the semiconductor, industrial, and data center markets, is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to serve as the lead network engineering authority for the Americas. The company is in a period of significant growth, driven by AI-related demand and an active acquisition strategy, and continues to invest heavily in its Cisco-based global infrastructure.

This is a senior, hands-on role for a CCIE-level engineer who wants to own architecture and solution design end to end. You will partner daily with a small team of senior engineers across Asia and Europe, take a lead role in a multi-year network roadmap (including Cisco ISE enforcement, security hardening, and zero-trust initiatives), and serve as the top-tier escalation point when production issues hit. The environment is distributed rather than data-center-centric: many manufacturing and design sites across North America, Asia, and Europe connected over SD-WAN, with core applications hosted in public cloud. When a site goes down, every minute counts, and you will be the calm, clear voice guiding on-site teams through recovery.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable at the whiteboard and at the CLI, brings ideas for how the network and its tooling can get better, and communicates clearly with technical and non-technical colleagues around the world.

This is a full-time, direct-hire position based onsite five days per week in Denver or Fort Collins, Colorado (splitting time between the two offices is welcome). Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own architecture and solution design for global WAN, LAN, wireless, and hybrid cloud networks across a multi-site manufacturing and design footprint.
  • Serve as the lead network engineer for the Americas and the final escalation point for complex Level 3 incidents, leading root‑cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
  • Configure and troubleshoot hands‑on at the CLI across Cisco routing, switching, wireless, and firewall platforms, including rebuilding configurations from scratch when needed.
  • Drive the ongoing Cisco ISE rollout from monitor mode through low‑impact and high‑impact (closed) enforcement in a production manufacturing environment.
  • Design resilient site‑to‑site connectivity and failover so traffic can be quickly rerouted through alternate locations when a site goes down.
  • Design and support SD‑WAN connectivity and cloud‑native networking in GCP and Azure, including transit architecture, native cloud firewalling, and east‑west traffic visibility.
  • Manage Cisco Firepower firewall policy, segmentation, and access controls in partnership with the security team.
  • Lead network integration of acquired companies, standardizing their environments on the company’s architecture.
  • Design, implement, and regularly test network disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Analyze long‑term traffic trends to forecast bandwidth needs and recommend scaling strategies.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to network monitoring and management tooling, including Cisco Catalyst Center and SolarWinds.
  • Advise leadership on vendor licensing models, cost, and value during renewals, and manage ISP and hardware vendor relationships, circuits, and SLAs.
  • Perform lifecycle management (upgrades, patching, hardware refresh) and maintain core services including DNS, DHCP, and IPAM.
  • Coordinate daily handoffs with global counterparts, maintain documentation and run‑books, and give clear, step‑by‑step direction to on‑site staff during outages.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

  • 10+ years of network engineering experience in large, global enterprise environments.
  • CCIE certification (required).
  • Experience supporting a multinational organization at scale, including:
  • 15,000+ users
  • 10+ sites across multiple countries
  • A distributed, multi‑site topology connected over SD‑WAN
  • Deep, hands‑on Cisco expertise across the stack, including:
  • Catalyst routing and switching, including enterprise routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF
  • Cisco wireless and wireless LAN controllers
  • Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
  • Cisco Firepower firewalls
  • Cisco Catalyst Center (formerly DNA Center)
  • Expert‑level CLI configuration and troubleshooting, with both design and hands‑on implementation experience.
  • Hybrid cloud networking experience in GCP and/or Azure, including:
  • Transit / hub‑and‑spoke connectivity between on‑premises and cloud
  • Cloud‑native firewalling and segmentation
  • Traffic visibility, including east‑west traffic
  • Experience designing and testing network disaster recovery and site fail‑over.
  • Excellent communication skills, including directing remote or on‑site staff through changes and outages.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

ADDITIONAL PLUS

  • Led Cisco ISE enforcement rollouts (low‑impact or closed mode), especially in manufacturing or other uptime‑critical environments.
  • VMware VeloCloud SD‑WAN experience.
  • Network integration work following mergers or acquisitions.
  • Zero‑trust architecture and network segmentation initiatives.
  • Experience evaluating and selecting network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Catalyst Center, or similar).
  • Strong grasp of vendor licensing models (subscription, token‑based, enterprise agreements) and how to assess value.
  • Experience in manufacturing, semiconductor, or other environments where downtime carries direct cost.
  • Experience working on follow‑the‑sun global teams.

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, location, and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown.
