Job summary

Specialist Staffing Group is seeking a Senior Network Engineer in Boston, MA, to lead design, implementation, and optimization of a Cisco-based enterprise network. The role covers hybrid cloud connectivity, security, and performance across LAN, WAN, and cloud environments.

The position is based in Boston with a hybrid schedule (2 days in office). Compensation ranges from $150k to $180k base salary plus a 20%–25% bonus, with additional benefits for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of enterprise networking experience.
• Strong Cisco routing, switching, Nexus, and Cisco ISE.
• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls and F5 LTM/GTM load balancers.
• Deep knowledge of LAN/WAN architectures, TCP/IP, VLANs, QoS, ACLs, and modern routing protocols.
• Experience designing and supporting hybrid cloud networks, including AWS Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Network Manager, CloudWatch, and cloud integrations.
• Proven network architecture and design experience, including documentation and roadmap planning.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.

About the Role
