Akkodis is seeking Network Engineers for an onsite Bellevue, WA EPC/5G Core contract. The role centers on testing, deployments and upgrades of Cisco EPC/5G Core, with focus on call-flow troubleshooting and production rollouts.

This 18-month contract involves close collaboration with internal teams and telecom operators to validate software releases and drive performance improvements. Experience with Cisco EPC/UPC and hands-on network testing is required, along with strong IP networking skills.

Akkodis is seeking Network Engineers - EPC/5G Core contract in Bellevue, WA (onsite). The role focuses on Cisco EPC/Ultra Packet Core, 5G Core testing, deployments/upgrades, call‑flow troubleshooting, and production rollouts. Your mobile core/5G experience looks relevant.

Pay Range: $60-$70/hour on W2; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Location: Bellevue, WA (Onsite)

Duration: 18-Month Contract

We are seeking experienced Network Engineers to support the testing, deployment, upgrade, optimization, and troubleshooting of Cisco EPC and 5G Core network environments. This role will work closely with internal engineering teams and telecom operators to validate new software releases, support production deployments, troubleshoot network issues, and improve overall network performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and upgrade EPC and 5G Core software in lab environments.
• Develop, execute, and document test plans.
• Validate new features and software releases.
• Analyze test results and provide recommendations.
• Support lab-to-production migration activities.

Deployment & Upgrade Activities

• Support production software deployments and upgrades.
• Participate in maintenance windows and production implementations.
• Review deployment and implementation plans.
• Assist with production cutovers and rollout activities.
• Support First Office Application (FOA) events and go‑live activities.

Network Troubleshooting

• Troubleshoot EPC and 5G call flows.
• Investigate software, configuration, and network issues.
• Assist in incident resolution and service restoration efforts.
• Work with technical support teams to diagnose complex network problems.

Network Design & Optimization

• Review and optimize network architecture and designs.
• Provide recommendations for scalability, resiliency, and performance improvements.
• Evaluate impacts of network changes and enhancements.
• Support Day-2 operations and post-launch optimization efforts.
• Review security-related network impacts and recommend improvements.

Customer & Technical Engagement

• Participate in technical workshops and design discussions.
• Gather requirements and understand customer testing objectives.
• Provide technical consultation and implementation guidance.
• Deliver technical knowledge transfer sessions.
• Participate in recurring technical and project meetings.

Documentation

• Create and maintain:
• Test plans
• Test reports
• Upgrade procedures
• Technical recommendations and findings
• Provide regular status updates and technical reporting.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience supporting EPC and/or 5G Core networks.
• Hands‑on experience with software upgrades, deployments, and network testing.
• Experience troubleshooting mobile core network environments and call flows.
• Strong understanding of IP networking, routing, switching, and telecom infrastructure.
• Experience supporting production network implementations and change activities.
• Ability to create technical documentation and communicate effectively with engineering teams.

Preferred Experience

• Cisco EPC or Cisco Ultra Packet Core (UPC)
• Telecom lab validation and production rollout experience
• Network optimization and performance tuning
• Wireless core network engineering backgrounds
