Job summary

Skyline Technology Solutions is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and support LAN, WLAN, and WAN infrastructures. You will collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver cutting-edge networking solutions and excellent customer service.

You will act as a technical escalation point, create documentation, and lead network design proposals. The role requires strong troubleshooting, vendor experience, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an engineering-related field (Preferred).
• 10 years of experience in a computer-related field.
• JNCIP or CCNP is required; JNCIE or CCIE preferred for service providers.
• Experience with Cisco/Juniper/Aruba switches, routers, and wireless APs.
• Experience with BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, MPLS, and Spanning Tree.
• Experience leading network projects and using network monitoring tools.

Job description

You will be responsible for designing, maintaining, implementing, and troubleshooting our clients' networks. You will work in a collaborative environment to provide cutting-edge solutions and customer service.

You can expect to spend your time accomplishing the following:

• 85% of time on Objective 1: Completing customer projects and solutions
• 10% of time on Objective 2: Prioritization, planning, and scheduling
• 5% of time on Objective 3: Professional growth and development

• Experience in production network environments.
• Experience in the configuration and deployment of Cisco, Juniper, and Aruba switches, routers, and wireless access points.
• Experience with the design, troubleshooting and configuration of network protocols such as BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, MPLS, and Spanning Tree.
• Experience with leading the design and delivery of network projects.
• Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
• Experience with the creation and maintenance of documentation such as operating procedures and network diagrams.
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time, priority, and task management skills.
• Familiarity with enterprise and user networks a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple assigned tasks concurrently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Python and Ansible experience a plus.
• Previous experience with Metro Ethernet networks and infrastructure a plus.
