Qualifications

• 8+ years of network experience with Cisco firewalls, routers and switches.
• 4+ years of experience with hardware load balancer administration and support.
• Expert level understanding and experience with routing and switching technologies.
• Expert level understanding and experience with 802.1q, STP, RSTP, MSTP, VLAN, MPLS.
• Expert level knowledge of firewall management, preferably with Cisco PIX/ASA/ Citrix NetScaler.
• Expert level understanding and experience with IPSEC VPNs.
• Expert TCP/IP packet analysis using Wireshark or tcpdump.
• Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong understanding of troubleshooting techniques.
• Exhibits mature organization and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform pro-active work to maintain best practices in network systems.
• Establish standards and best practices for network systems.
• Serve as the highest escalation point within the support team.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, perform root cause analysis.
• Communicate with service managers and customers as needed.
