Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector seeks a Network Communications professional at Ellsworth AFB, SD. The role encompasses real-time support for ground systems, equipment deployment, and collaboration with partners to ensure seamless connectivity for flight operations.

Qualified candidates have multiple pathways including a high school diploma with years of experience or a bachelor’s degree with relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma/GED and experience or higher in Network Communications/Administration.
• Current CompTIA Security Plus certification.
• Experience with STIG compliance.
• Experience designing and maintaining LAN, WAN, and Cloud networks.
• Experience configuring, installing, and maintaining encryption devices (TACLANES).
• Experience with network analysis tools (WireShark, OPNET, SolarWinds).

Responsibilities

• Provide real time support for Ground Systems during flight operations and maintenance.
• Account for, control, and deploy equipment.
• Resolve connectivity issues between Ground Systems and external networks.
• Troubleshoot and repair communications systems in military environments.
• Follow checklists and provide redlines to procedures when needed.
• Support 24/7 on-site network operations.
• Maintain local network management and patch configurations.
• Communicate technical issues to local support and engineers.
• Assist with trend analysis for engineers.
• Review supplier design data and define test requirements.
• Test and integrate Comms and Networks equipment for operations.
• Collaborate with system admins and onsite personnel to fix issues.
