Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead network infrastructure and cabling projects on a site in Dallas, TX. You will plan, direct, and budget activities, coordinate with clients, designers, and subcontractors, and ensure safety and quality.

The role requires 10+ years in construction management or data centers, PMP/BICSI preferred, and strong leadership and communication skills. The position is full-time on-site with opportunities to drive critical programs for our clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business management, electrical engineering, construction management or similar experience.
• 10+ years of direct work experience in construction management, data centers, or structured cabling environment.
• Track record of delivering mission critical programs on time, within budget, and to applicable build, quality, and safety standards.
• Must be able to meet Motor Vehicle Record requirements.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Contract negotiation and administration experience.
• Experience building and leading teams.
• Experience coaching and mentoring direct reports and vendor teams.
• Organizational, time management and coordination skills across multiple disciplines preferred.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification preferred.
• BICSI RCDD or similar Telecommunications certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• The project manager is accountable for effective project management and delivery of their projects.
• Develop the program schedule and establish milestones for delivery, ensuring targets meet customer goals.
• Identify and acquire resources to meet changing needs and requirements.
• Evaluate materials during pre-construction and oversee design efforts and value engineering.
• Schedule the project and budget time to meet deadlines.
• Determine labor requirements and dispatch workers to sites.
• Coordinate with the superintendent and site team.
• Inspect and review projects for codes and regulations compliance.
• Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions with designers, consultants, clients, and subcontractors.
• Obtain permits and licenses as required.
• Direct and supervise team members on site and in the office.
• Develop and maintain the project schedule and financial plan.
• Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress and cost tracking reports.
• Train and develop project team; ensure timely billing and invoicing.
