Job summary

A leading telecommunications provider in Maryland is seeking a Senior Network Architect to design and deploy networking solutions focused on SD-WAN, IPSec, and MPLS VPN. You will work within a global IP/MPLS network, collaborating with teams to develop scalable solutions. This role requires experience with network automation/tools, extensive routing knowledge, and cloud-based architecture skills. Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering with a focus on SD-WAN and MPLS.
• Hands-on experience with network automation and orchestration.
• Strong knowledge of IP multicast design and TCP/IP protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design and document services for a Managed Service Provider network.
• Collaborate with Pre-Sales Engineers and Product Marketing.
• Test new technologies and provide training for operations teams.

Skills

Experience with MPLS or SD-WAN environments

Designing and configuring Fortinet FortiGate devices

Network automation tools (Terraform, Ansible)

IPSec design and troubleshooting

Cloud-based architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP)

IP multicast configuration

Extensive TCP/IP and routing knowledge

Experience with NAT and VRRP/HSRP

Creating and maintaining documentation

Troubleshooting and debugging skills
