Job summary

Lam Research is seeking a Senior Network Architect in the Fremont area to design, plan, and evolve a secure, scalable network across data centers, cloud environments and enterprise sites.

You will develop high-level blueprints, establish standards, and guide complex implementations while collaborating with cybersecurity, cloud, and infrastructure teams to meet business objectives and drive modernization initiatives.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, CS or related field with 15+ years networking experience.
• Deep knowledge of OSI networking model.
• Experience with LAN/WAN/WLAN networks.
• Familiarity with DNS, HTTP, SSL, 802.1x, load balancing, VPN, SD-WAN, PKI.
• Experience with Cisco Nexus/Catalyst switches, routers, WLC, ISE.
• Knowledge of Palo Alto firewall and IPS configuration.
• Knowledge of F5 load balancer.
• Public cloud experience is highly desirable.
• Zero-Trust networking knowledge is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop network strategy and architecture aligned with business goals.
• Create long-term roadmaps for growth, resilience and security.
• Design scalable routing and security solutions for data centers, campuses and cloud.
• Define standards for LAN/WAN/WLAN, SD-WAN, VPN and cloud integration.
• Lead architecture documentation (HLD/LLD) and governance.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with security, cloud, and infra teams.
