Job summary

ANG SIGNAL is seeking a Network Architect to provide technical leadership on diverse network projects for federal government work. The candidate will design, communicate, and implement solutions, mentor team members, and ensure timely delivery in a customer-facing role.

The role requires extensive experience in routing, switching, security, and cloud networks, with CCIE and related certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of functional experience in a Sr. Network Engineering role with at least 6 years as a Technical Lead or SME in a large-scale enterprise network
• In-depth knowledge of network design including complex routing and switching, remote access, wireless and network security solutions
• Strong knowledge of MPLS, BGP, OSPF and other RS technologies
• Experience with cloud networks and security; Azure, AWS or GCP
• Hands-on experience with Cisco and Aruba Routers and Switches
• Experience with Cisco ISE, Aruba wireless and Clearpass
• Experience designing, implementing and managing complex network security environments, including firewalls (Cisco and Fortigate), UTM, and IPS
• Ability to communicate designs and network concepts to diverse audiences
• Strong project management, leadership skills and ability to execute in a matrixed environment
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and CCIE certification

Responsibilities

• Design and execute migration, consolidation, and optimization strategies for complex enterprise network environments
• Lead network implementations and migrations for large-scale complex networks
• Provide technical leadership to the team to execute mission-critical projects
• Support continuous improvement of network infrastructure and cloud network environment
• Manage day-to-day network operations and troubleshoot complex issues
• Design and implement network solutions and participate in lab testing
• Engage with customers and developers to maintain open communication
• Oversee project development from kickoff to delivery
• Write and manage technical documentation and maintenance plans
• Define project scope, goals and deliverables with stakeholders
