Job summary

NRI North America seeks a Sr. Network Engineer to design, implement, and troubleshoot moderately complex network solutions for diverse clients in Long Island and across North America. You will lead technical design, deliver scalable architectures, and travel frequently to client sites.

Ideal candidates bring 5–7 years of networking experience, CCNA, and strong communication skills to work with PMs and clients, ensuring secure, reliable networks aligned with business needs.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of IT systems, software, and networking experience.
• Hands-on experience with network cabling, termination, and testing.
• Experience with rack management and equipment installation in diverse environments.
• Strong understanding of OSI model layers and practical application in networks.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, subnetting, routing protocols, and network security principles.
• Proven experience with multiple network vendors (Cisco, Juniper, Arista).
• Ability to design and translate network designs into implementation plans.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities; strong communication skills.
• Experience with project budgeting and resource allocation is a plus.
• CCNA certification or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of moderately complex network solutions for clients, creating diagrams and implementation plans.
• Provide technical leadership to project teams to ensure timely, on-budget delivery.
• Identify and resolve network issues, escalating only highly complex problems.
• Maintain comprehensive network documentation including diagrams and configurations.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to align business needs with technical solutions.
• Stay updated on current networking technologies and best practices; recommend solutions.
• Adhere to network standards, procedures, and safety regulations for security and compliance.
• Participate in internal knowledge sharing to improve processes.
