Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs is seeking a hands-on Senior IT Network Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain the enterprise network with a strong emphasis on automation and observability solutions that keep it reliable, secure, and supportable.

The role applies a DevOps mindset to network operations, using infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and automated testing to changes. You will mentor peers and drive NetDevOps initiatives across multi-site environments in a security-conscious organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise routing and switching.
• Experience with OSPF, EIGRP, BGP and VLANs.
• CCNA certification.
• 5+ years in enterprise network monitoring and observability.
• 5+ years designing and implementing network automation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize monitoring and observability infrastructure.
• Design and build automation for deployment, config, monitoring, and incident response.
• Apply DevOps practices to network operations with CI/CD and IaC.
• Manage network configurations in source control with versioning and audits.
• Build security monitoring and telemetry to improve threat visibility and response.
• Lead automation initiatives end to end and mentor teammates.
