Job summary

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation is seeking a Senior .NET Technical Lead (AWS) to modernize legacy business apps into cloud-native services on AWS. You will lead design, development, and delivery with a focus on quality and scalability.

You will mentor offshore teams, drive CI/CD, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful feature delivery while leveraging AI-assisted tools to maintain high standards and compliance.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software development experience, with 5+ years in modern .NET and ASP.NET Core Web APIs.
• Proven ability to design, build, and deploy microservices or distributed applications.
• Strong expertise in C#, .NET, SQL Server, and advanced T-SQL.
• Experience migrating stored procedures into application services.
• Solid RESTful API design, OpenAPI, OAuth 2.0, and JWT security.
• Experience with EF Core, Dapper, async programming, and performance optimization.
• Hands-on AWS experience including ECS/Fargate, RDS for SQL Server, SQS/SNS/EventBridge.
• Experience implementing automated testing (unit/integration/API) and mentoring offshore teams.

Senior .NET Technical Lead (AWS)

About the role

As a Senior .NET Technical Lead , you will make an impact by leading the modernization of legacy business applications into scalable, cloud-native services on AWS. You will be a valued member of the engineering team, collaborating with AWS leads, architects, QA teams, product owners, and offshore developers to deliver high-quality solutions that support business growth and operational excellence.

In this role, you will:

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of modern .NET services and APIs, supporting the migration of legacy applications to a cloud-native architecture.
• Drive engineering excellence through sprint planning, code reviews, coding standards, and best practices for quality and maintainability.
• Partner with business and product stakeholders to refine requirements, define acceptance criteria, and ensure successful delivery of customer features.
• Mentor and guide offshore development teams, remove delivery blockers, and provide regular progress updates to project leadership.
• Modernize legacy data architectures by extracting business logic from SQL Server stored procedures into scalable C# services while maintaining functional parity through automated testing.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and production releases, ensuring secure, reliable deployments and adherence to compliance and delivery standards.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity while maintaining accountability for code quality, security, and technical decisions.

What you need to have to be considered

• 12+ years of software development experience, including 5+ years working with modern .NET and ASP.NET Core Web APIs.
• Proven experience designing, building, and deploying microservices or independently deployable distributed applications.
• Strong expertise in C#, .NET, SQL Server, and advanced T-SQL development.
• Hands-on experience migrating business logic from stored procedures into application services.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design, OpenAPI specifications, OAuth 2.0, and JWT-based security models.
• Experience with EF Core, Dapper, asynchronous programming, and application performance optimization.
• Hands-on AWS experience, including ECS/Fargate, RDS for SQL Server, and messaging/event-driven technologies such as SQS, SNS, or EventBridge.
• Experience implementing automated testing frameworks, including unit, integration, and API/contract testing.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing and mentoring development teams, including offshore resources.

Compensation

The annual salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $155,000 , depending on experience and qualifications. This role is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, subject to performance and applicable plan terms.
