Responsibilities

Project Overview

The intent of this work order is to supplement theDOR Miscellaneous Applications Section focusing on design, development,testing, and deployment of enterprise application solutions. This individualwill need to work with various business and technology groups to understandrequirements for each area of the organization. Design documentation will needto be produced documenting final deployment details along with supportprocedures as needed. Architectural technical and documentation skills areequally important for this position.

Under general supervision, the contractor willserve as an Architect responsible for the development and maintenance ofarchitecture models for large-scale enterprise web applications. The contractordesigns component structures and relationships, builds architecture framework,utilizes development application technologies such as services-orientedarchitecture (SOA), workflow engines, and business rules engines to buildsecure high-performance, and maintainable application architectures. Thecontractor serves as a senior development consultant to application and systemsanalysts in the design of application components within the secure softwaredevelopment life cycle (SSDLC). The contractor also works with senior analyststo develop architecture frameworks for responsible programs.

Under general supervision, the contractor willserve as an engineer reporting directly to a functional manager. Contractorwill be a team member that ensures the stability and integrity of data, andserver services through monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization ofall server infrastructure. This individual has 24/7 on-call responsibilitiesshared with the group.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Technical

Analyzeproject requirements and recommend techniques, tools, and methodologies toachieve goals
Document thesystem design and detailed technical specifications required for newapplications to be developed, including workflow models, class diagrams,interaction diagrams, component diagrams, deployment diagrams, and othersystems documentation
Consult withtechnical support, network administration, and database administration areas toensure coherent total design of the system and to resolve any technology issues
Designenterprise applications to run in a highly secured multi-firewall DISA STIGenvironment
Develop web,desktop, and console applications with C#/.NET 10
Developpenetration testing tools and systems with C#/.NET 10
Developautomated JIT provisioning (JITP) for user onboarding and offboarding
Implementapplication hardening and data protection for secured server deployments
Work withopen source and enterprise penetration testing tools to test complete systemsand deliver fully documented penetration testing reports
Fully testand debug all applications prior to use in a production environment
Providesupport to all users during the User Acceptance Testing phase
Providetechnical guidance and mentoring for vulnerability analysis and remediation ofkey systems.
Serve asreviewer for a structured process review for each phase of the softwaredevelopment lifecycle for web applications to verify standards are followed andadvise where standards are not
Prepareprogress reports and keep management and business users informed
Develop andmaintain architecture models that support the operations of enterpriseapplications
Buildarchitecture framework based on thorough understanding of enterprise corebusiness processes and stakeholder requirements.
Serve assenior consultant to applications and systems analysts in the design anddevelopment of application components within architectural framework
Developworkaround solutions as appropriate.
Performequipment and software upgrades
Maintainfamiliarity with current computer and network products
Adheretocorporate information security guidelines and promote information securityamong coworkers
Performsother duties and special projects as assigned.
