Job summary

Cognizant in Irvine, California, is seeking a Senior .NET Engineer to design, build, and deliver modern web applications and microservices that drive business outcomes and support digital transformation initiatives.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, QA teams, architects, and partners to deliver scalable, secure software solutions, with a strong emphasis on AI-powered tooling and continuous improvement. This onsite role requires 5 days a week in Irvine.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing web applications and microservices using C#/.NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL Server, and React or Angular.
• 5+ years of experience designing, architecting, implementing, and deploying enterprise applications in both on-premises and cloud-native environments.
• Strong expertise in modern software engineering practices, application architecture, and full SDLC methodologies.
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools and LLM-based coding agents to improve productivity and quality.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise web applications and microservices across on-premises and cloud-native environments.
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable software solutions aligned with goals.
• Collaborate with business users, QA teams, and external partners to deliver enhancements and releases throughout the SDLC.
• Leverage AI-powered development tools and modern practices to accelerate development and innovation.
• Create and maintain technical documentation while ensuring security and compliance.
