Job summary

Genesis10 is seeking a Software Engineer for a contract position focused on identifying, investigating, and remediating security vulnerabilities within existing enterprise applications. The role requires quick understanding of complex architectures, .NET/SQL work, and collaboration with development teams.

Position is 12+ month contract with pay range $55.06–$63.06 per hour. On-site at Plano, TX or Charlotte, NC, with benefits for contract roles described by Genesis10.

Qualifications

• 6-7 years of software engineering experience
• Strong SQL development and troubleshooting experience
• Strong .NET development experience
• C#

• Experience working on production support and application maintenance
• Ability to understand complex application architectures quickly
• Strong investigative and analytical troubleshooting skills

Responsibilities

• Remediate application security vulnerabilities across enterprise systems
• Analyze existing .NET applications to determine vulnerability impact
• Implement fixes using Microsoft best practices and security guidance
• Investigate application dependencies and identify required remediation efforts
• Work within existing codebases rather than developing new applications
• Support production applications requiring timely security updates
• Research Microsoft documentation and technical whitepapers to determine appropriate remediation strategies
• Collaborate with development and support teams to deliver security fixes efficiently
