Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior .NET Developer in the United States (Hybrid, remote-friendly) to build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs. The role requires strong C#, .NET, ASP.NET Web API skills, REST API delivery, and collaboration with cross-functional teams across time zones.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in backend development, experience with SQL Server, Git, and unit testing, plus exposure to microservices and cloud platforms. Banking experience is preferred.

About the role

As a Senior .NET Developer, you will make an impact by developing, enhancing and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs for our client’s application development initiatives. You will be a valued member of the ADM team and work collaboratively with cross-functional technology, delivery and business stakeholders to build reliable, high-performing solutions.

In this role, you will:

• Develop, enhance and maintain backend services, APIs and application components using C#, .NET and ASP.NET Web API.
• Write scalable, secure and high-performance code while contributing to complex modules and existing application features.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing and troubleshooting to improve solution quality and production stability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, support delivery priorities and resolve technical issues.
• Work independently while supporting overlapping time zones when required by project and client needs.

What you need to have to be considered:

Salary and compensation:

The annual salary for this position will be between $55,000 to $92,500 per year depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
