Job summary

1872 Consulting seeks a Senior .NET Developer in Chicago, IL. The role is hybrid, with on-site 2-3 days per week and fully in-office during the first 90 days. You will design, develop, and support software on the company’s flagship product, collaborating with Product and QA to deliver innovative features.

You will mentor junior developers, participate in Agile sprints, and ensure high coding standards while staying current with new technologies.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of fullstack .NET development.
• Proficient with C#, SQL Server and writing SQL queries.
• Experience with ASP.NET MVC, Web API, and ORM (Entity, Dapper).
• BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Nice to have Azure cloud experience and familiarity with NuGet, Confluence, or Jira.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality .NET software applications.
• Collaborate with Product and QA teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Identify and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers as needed.
• Participate in Agile software development methodologies and contribute to project planning and estimation on 6-week sprints.
• Interact with stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide technical solutions.
