Job summary

Octacom is seeking a versatile software developer with .NET and C# experience to join our growing team in the United States. This full‑stack role covers backend Windows services, Web APIs, desktop apps and light web front ends, offering the chance to contribute across the entire software lifecycle.

You will write scalable SQL queries against MSSQL databases, collaborate with management and operations, and maintain production applications while exploring legacy systems and modern stacks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with .NET and C#.
• A degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong grasp of relational databases (MSSQL) and SQL querying.
• Commitment to writing reusable, maintainable code and experience with Git.
• Excellent troubleshooting and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical teammates.
• Self-starter attitude; comfortable with shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Bonus points for VB.NET knowledge, AI/ML tools, or DevOps interests.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance applications (C# .NET, Web APIs, legacy VB.NET) focusing on performance and scalability.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to interact with MSSQL databases.
• Participate in the full development lifecycle from research to deployment and bug fixing.
• Collaborate with management and operations to troubleshoot issues and suggest new tools.
• Provide high-quality support for existing production applications.
