Job summary

Pacific Gas and Electric Company is seeking an experienced Electric NERC Compliance Consultant, Senior to support risk-based compliance and regulatory programs in the Electric Operations organization. The role focuses on guiding mitigation planning and aligning cross-functional partners across WECC, FERC, and CAISO to uphold NERC standards.

The selected candidate will collaborate with Engineering, Asset Management, and Planning teams and the Enterprise NERC Compliance Office, shaping policy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Primarily office environment with extensive use of computers and numerous meetings.

Responsibilities

• Leads the team in developing controls and mitigation plans and ensures they are implemented and effective.
• Performs and oversees compliance and control testing, audits (including WECC/FERC), or other validation processes and analyzes risk or compliance metrics.
• May respond to regulatory data requests, investigations, audits, and other inquiries.
• Identifies new/changing requirements or standards and ensures programs and tools are updated accordingly.
• Verifies reports, audits documentation, and validates content in database / risk register.
• Participates in or may lead root cause analysis exercises.
