Job summary

Precise Systems seeks an Nondestructive Test and Evaluation Engineer to support RDT&E reviews and ensure adherence to Navy and commercial NDT&E specifications. The role requires deep knowledge of inspection methods and certification standards, with responsibility for evaluating designs, processes, and producibility while managing cost controls.

The ideal candidate will hold a engineering degree and bring at least 10 years of NDT&E experience, plus 5 years in design research and trade-off

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics from an accredited college or university.
Ten (10) years of experience in the concepts, practices and theories of one or more NDT&E method such as visual testing, magnetic particle testing, dye penetrant testing, ultrasonic testing, radiographic testing, eddy current testing, phased array ultrasonic testing, eddy current array testing, computed tomography, computed radiography, digital detector array radiography, acoustic emission, infrared thermography, terahertz imaging, or full matrix capture.
Five (5) years of experience with the engineering/research design process in the area of experimental design and trade-off studies.

Responsibilities

Provide technical review and consultation to Research Development Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) activities on adequacy of specification, production processes, material availability, dimensioning and tolerance, design, producibility and inspectability, standardization and manufacturing cost control techniques.
