Job summary

Serco Inc. seeks a Non-Propulsion Electronics Senior Navy Project Lead with extensive experience in U.S. Navy acquisition programs, submarine electronics, and payload systems.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team across design, development, certification, and delivery for Virginia-Class and Columbia-Class payload systems. Qualifications

• DoW Secret security clearance (ability to obtain)
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physics, Chemistry, or related technical discipline
• Minimum 8 years supporting U.S. Navy acquisition programs or related defense programs
• Experience in program management, technical leadership, systems integration, or related leadership role
• Experience with submarine electronics, combat systems, payload systems, or other mission-critical submarine systems
• Strong understanding of systems engineering, integration, test, certification, risk management, and QA processes
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate timely completion of program assignments aligned with objectives and mission requirements
• Serve as primary Systems Integration and Test Lead for integration, risk assessment, production, QA and test activities
• Develop and implement processes to monitor, measure, and communicate program risks, performance, quality, and progress
• Identify and resolve conflicts involving specifications, design, production, delivery, and processes
• Develop risk mitigation strategies to address vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with Navy/DoD policies
• Facilitate training, policy guidance, and risk-management approaches to support execution
• Review program documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance
• Provide clear written and oral communications to stakeholders across the submarine enterprise
• Collaborate with government, engineering, shipbuilding, manufacturing, and industry partners to resolve issues
• Support program reviews, technical interchange meetings, and leadership briefings
• Provide technical recommendations and program insights for informed decisions
