Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Senior Navigation/IMU Engineer to join the Advanced Effector Guidance Systems (AEGS) team. You will evaluate IMU options, perform integration tests, and document requirements and test plans.

The role requires a STEM bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, experience with subsystems and systems engineering, and the ability to work in an IPT environment. This is an onsite position with a DoD Secret clearance requirement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Electrical Engineering fundamentals and subsystems.
• Experience selecting IMUs for use in products.
• Ability to work in an IPT environment and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Support IMU selection, testing, and performance analysis.
• Develop and document IMU requirements and test plans.
• Peer review designs and present to management and government customers.
• Communicate status, progress, and issues to leadership.
• Work independently within a multi-disciplinary IPT.
• Travel as required, including foreign travel.
