Job summary

Fiera Capital is seeking a Municipal Credit Analyst to support investment decisions across municipal bond portfolios. You will conduct credit analysis, develop actionable investment recommendations, and monitor portfolio holdings to provide timely insights to investment stakeholders.

The role requires 2+ years in municipal credit analysis, a finance/economics-related degree, and strong communication skills. Hybrid work in New York with a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of municipal credit analysis experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, public policy, accounting, or related field.
• Strong financial statement analysis skills; CFA designation is an asset.
• Solid understanding of municipal securities documents.
• Ability to synthesize complex financial, demographic, and sector information into clear investment views.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present credit opinions clearly.
• Proficiency in Excel; Bloomberg and Investortools are assets.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth credit analysis across investment grade municipal sectors.
• Develop and present investment recommendations for municipal bonds.
• Analyze portfolio holdings to assess credit quality and risk exposures.
• Perform sector reviews, identify risks, trends, and relative value.
• Provide prompt responses to portfolio managers and traders.
