The City of Kent, Washington seeks an attorney with in-house or transactional experience to join its Civil Division. You will handle diverse municipal matters, from land use and contracts to employment and public safety, working with a small but skilled team.

Admitted to the Washington Bar, you will provide legal advice to City leadership, draft ordinances, and negotiate agreements. This role offers meaningful work with flexible scheduling and strong benefits.

Formación

• Must be admitted to the Washington Bar and in good standing.
• JD from an accredited law school.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide professional legal services to City leadership and departments.
• Draft ordinances, resolutions, contracts, deeds, leases, and other instruments.
• Advise City officials on a wide range of municipal legal matters.
• Lead and train junior attorneys and staff in complex legal topics.
• Represent the City in hearings, negotiations, and interlocal matters.
