Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a senior technical leader to architect and deploy production-scale multimodal machine learning across Apple Intelligence projects. You will drive research-to-product impact, partnering with hardware, design and product teams.

The role requires leading ML modeling, prototyping, validation, and private learning, with strong expertise in NLP+Vision and large language models development.

Qualifications

• PhD or MSc in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering, or a related field with ML focus.
• Hands on experience training LLMs/adapting pre-trained LLMs for downstream tasks & alignment.
• Modeling experience at the intersection of NLP and Vision.
• Proficiency in ML toolkit of choice, e.g., PyTorch.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Proven track record of research contributions through publications or open source contributions.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy production-scale multimodal ML solutions.
• Lead cross-functional efforts across ML modeling, prototyping, validation and private learning.
• Partner with system engineers to prototype algorithmic innovations in agentic experiences.
• Interface with large-scale modeling and data infrastructure.
