This is not an entry-level role; we want someone who can deliver enterprise reporting and compelling storytelling that serves the community. You will develop original story ideas from leads, gather facts, shoot video, and edit for TV, digital, social, and streaming platforms, collaborating with photographers and digital teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience in journalism.
• Generally, 3+ years of professional reporting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive assignments or evaluate news leads and tips to develop original story ideas.
• Gather and verify factual information through interviews, observation, and research.
• Organize material, determine story emphasis, and write content according to editorial standards and AP style.
• Shoot video and still photos to illustrate stories.
• Edit, or assist in editing, video for television, digital, social, and streaming platforms.
• Appear on television programs while conducting interviews or providing narration.
• Deliver live reports from the scene of breaking news and community events.
• Work collaboratively with photographers and other newsroom staff when assigned.
• Assist producers in preparing newscasts and coverage plans.
• Partner with digital teams to create compelling multimedia content for all platforms.
