Job summary

Abacus Technology Corporation is seeking a Multimedia Systems Engineer to lead the design, build, and integration of advanced multimedia, A/V, and broadcast systems for the eMITS program at Johnson Space Center in Houston. You will provide technical analyses, draft engineering plans, and oversee project activities across installation, maintenance, and operations teams.

The role requires 9+ years in A/V engineering, a degree in Electronics or related field, and strong experience with AutoCAD,

Qualifications

• 9+ years experience in engineering for television and A/V systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or a related field.
• ADDA or ADDA (digital) program certification preferred.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD drafting and system integration workflows.
• Familiarity with NASA procurement systems (SAP, Deltek, Oracle).
• Extensive knowledge of SMPTE standards and A/V requirements.
• Leadership in guiding system architecture transitions and modernization.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, build, and integration of complex multimedia, broadcast, A/V, and imagery systems.
• Provide technical analysis for new hardware systems, upgrades, risk assessments, and implementation plans.
• Draft detailed engineering plans, analyses, workflows, and cost estimations.
• Provide project oversight for installation, maintenance, and operations staff.
• Manage financial planning, forecasting, reconciliation, and budget tracking of projects.
• Oversee procurement processes including PRs, POs, and vendor invoicing.
