Job summary

MPI is seeking a Lead Superintendent for multifamily construction in NC/SC. Responsibilities include supervising daily activities, coordinating trades, and ensuring quality and safety compliance on projects up to $35M, with strong emphasis on schedule adherence and cost control.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years in multifamily construction, experience with large podium-type builds, and solid knowledge of scheduling, estimating and project management tools.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years multifamily construction experience is required.
  • Experience with large ground-up podium style builds.
  • Knowledge of scheduling, estimating and cost principles.
  • Basic knowledge of project management software.
  • A mature professional with sound judgment and drive.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily construction activities and quality control of all subcontractors.
  • Coordinate field efforts between trades to meet timelines and budgets.
  • Communicate project information to superiors clearly and timely.
  • Attend weekly subcontractor and owner/architect meetings.
  • Monitor site safety protocols and compliance with documents.
  • Track manpower and complete daily reports.
  • Assist with quality control oversight and field office document control.
  • Assist with creating look-ahead schedules and monitor deliveries.
  • Verify materials, equipment and installations comply with submittals.
