Qualifications
7+ years of CNC machining/programming experience.
Strong experience programming multi-axis CNC lathes or mill-turn machines.
Strong G-code and CAM programming knowledge.
Experience with Mastercam, Siemens NX, Fusion 360, or similar CAM software.
Strong understanding of GD&T, tooling, workholding, speeds/feeds, and tight-tolerance machining.
Responsibilities
Develop, prove out, and optimize programs for multi-axis CNC lathes and mill-turn equipment.
Program complex turning operations including live tooling, C/Y-axis machining, sub-spindle work, threading, grooving, boring, drilling, and milling.
Develop complete machining strategies from CAD models, engineering drawings, and GD&T.
Select tooling, inserts, workholding, speeds, feeds, and operation sequences.
Support machine setups, first articles, and new-part prove-outs.
Troubleshoot programming, tooling, workholding, dimensional, and machining issues directly on the shop floor.
Optimize processes to improve cycle time, tool life, setup time, repeatability, and scrap.
Partner with machinists, engineering, and quality to successfully move new jobs into production.
