Job summary

American Chemical Society seeks a Senior Architect, API Platforms to shape the enterprise API strategy and governance. You will lead API design and evolution, driving API-led connectivity across cloud, SaaS, and on‑premise systems.

Collaborating with development, data, cloud, and security teams, you will ensure APIs are enterprise products that accelerate innovation and interoperability in a hybrid work environment in Washington, DC.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of MuleSoft Anypoint Platform architecture experience.
• 10+ years of software or API architecture experience.
• Experience with cloud platforms and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with DevOps pipelines and automated API testing frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of API security standards and identity protocols.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience integrating SaaS platforms and enterprise systems.
