Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Medical Science Liaison for Rare Disease in the PNW region. This field-based role covers Northern California, Oregon, and Washington, with travel up to 75%.

The MSL will build relationships with thought leaders, support investigator-initiated research, and represent Acadia’s portfolio in science and education. Advanced degree required and 5+ years in pharma/biotech; rare disease/neurology exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree required (MD, PharmD, or PhD).
• Minimum 5 years pharma/biotech industry experience.
• Travel up to 75% within territory.
• Knowledge of industry regulations, compliance, and clinical research practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with national/regional thought leaders, patient advocacy groups, and centers of excellence.
• Engage thought leaders for research discussions and scientific exchange/education on therapies.
• Support research trial sites and cultivate/investigator-initiated research proposals.
• Build and maintain scientific/clinical/therapeutic expertise for Acadia’s portfolio.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with regional field leadership partners.
• Provide strategic field insights and identify disease concepts for product differentiation.
• Provide scientific/clinical/educational support to internal and external clients.
• Represent the company at continuing education events, medical meetings, and conventions.
• Support Commercial operations via speaker and sales representative training.
• Partner with internal departments to ensure accurate medical/scientific information.
