Job summary

Obsidian Therapeutics, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer, MSAT to bridge development and external manufacturing for retroviral vector and feeder cell processes in Bedford, MA.

You will ensure transfer, risk assessments, control strategies, and regulatory readiness for PPQ and future commercial manufacturing. You will lead cross-functional efforts with Development, Quality, External Manufacturing, and CDMOs, supporting investigations and validation activities while ensuring data-driven decisions

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a relevant scientific field with experience in MSAT/Process Development.
• 10+ years in MSAT, Process Development, Viral Vector Development, or related manufacturing sciences.
• Experience with gamma-retroviral vector manufacturing preferred.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and regulatory readiness.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for gamma-retroviral vector and feeder cell manufacturing activities.
• Lead technology transfer to CDMOs and ensure knowledge transfer and control strategies.
• Act as PIP at CDMOs to support training, investigations, and manufacturing activities.
• Develop relationships with CDMO teams and monitor process data for improvement.
• Support change controls, validation, and investigations with technical assessments.
• Contribute to PPQ readiness, protocols, and regulatory documentation.
