Job summary

Mercy is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform specialized MRI procedures and provide patient care during imaging sessions. The role requires MR safety practices and proficient operation of MRI scanners, power injectors, and related workstations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic or MRI technologist program with required clinical hours.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant MRI experience or bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT 1 Advanced registry required.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized MRI procedures producing diagnostic images.
• Provide patient care during MRI procedures and ensure MR safety.
• Operate MRI scanners, power injectors, workstations, and related equipment.
• Collaborate with registries or super users for program support.

Performs specialized MRI procedures on patients, resulting in diagnostic images for interpretation by a radiologist. Also provides the patient care essential to these procedures. Applies principles of MR safety. Two registries working in area or Super User for select programs.

Position Details

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program or MRI Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours.

Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience OR graduate of Bachelor degree program

Licensure/Certifications: ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT 1 Advanced registry (MRI)- working in the area

Other Skills & Knowledge

• IV Insertion
• Technical skill in medical scanning, understanding of cross sectional anatomy, and 3-D knowledge.
