Job summary

Orlando Health in Orlando, FL is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist II to perform diagnostic imaging and related procedures. You will assess patient conditions, position patients, and ensure high-quality images for interpretation, while adhering to safety and quality control standards.

The role requires ARRT MRI or ARMRIT MRI program completion or ARRT/ARDMS/NMTCB certifications, BLS, and state licensure if applicable. On-site work with potential cross-training across modalities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology OR,
• Graduate of accredited school of Sonography OR,
• Graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine OR,
• Graduate of an approved MRI technologist program through ARMRIT
• Mandatory minimum of two (2) years MRI experience and experience in one or more imaging areas such as advanced imaging or breast/cardiac imaging
• Site proctor/preceptor for onboarding new hires and cross-training
• Primary responsibility: Dual imaging roles with current proficiency in a second modality
• Valid ARRT (MRI) OR ARDMS OR NMTCB certification
• ARRT MRI certification or ARMRIT approved MRI program
• Current BLS certification
• Florida license preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy and/or physiology for interpretation and/or intervention.
• Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to quality care.
• Delivers appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures.
• Complies with all state and federal regulations applicable to each modality.
• Assists in supervision of student technologists and training of new technologists.
• Utilizes all Corporate Radiology computer systems effectively and accurately.
